So excited to leave this morning for Cabo with 9 other wedding planners to check out great sites for destination weddings. Can’t beat our 5-star resorts here in Orange County though. But, it should be a fun trip — I love socializing with my fellow planners!

Just got back from being an overnight guest at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, a charming inn rich in history and tradition. What they wanted me to see was what a wonderful venue it is for weddings, and they’re right — it is!

Artiface celebrated its 15th anniversary this week with an open house at their studio in Costa Mesa. Such fun! What a beautiful and creative array of invitations Kristy McTaggart has created over the years. Congratulations, Kristy!

Romance at the Beverly Hills Hotel

Yesterday I did a wedding for a beautiful bride who is the sister of a bride whose wedding I did 6 years ago. The talented Sunny of White Lilac did the stunning decor and Brian Hamilton of Suite M Photography captured the beautiful day. The service and attention to detail at the Beverly Hills Hotel was exceptional and what wonderful people to work with. It’s such an honor to do someone’s wedding, but when you do two for one family, it’s an incredible honor. Congratulations Jennifer & Brad!

Lake Arrowhead Resort - what a fabulous place. I just got back after spending 2 days there with some of my wonderful fellow wedding planners — we had a lot of fun together. This is a great place for a destination wedding!

The Villa in SJC

The Villa – What a beautiful location in SJC for weddings. I attended an unveiling reception there last evening. It has so much charm. Owner, John Humphreys of The Ramos House Cafe fame has done a simply wonderful job in renovating it — he has definitely paid a lot of attention to detail and has done a first-class job!

Big Production/Small Production

I love big production weddings (actually, I love small ones too – I just love doing weddings) and when I get to do any wedding with an awesome bride like Jaclyn Kramer Mokotoff, it doesn’t get any better than that. We had such a great time planning her spectacular wedding at the St. Regis in Dana Point, and now I can’t imagine that we won’t be emailing each other every day! Fabulous decor is by Sunny at White Lilac.

La Costa Resort & Spa

Yesterday was our WIPA (Wedding Industry Professionals Association) meeting at the gorgeous La Costa Resort & Spa. The Resort was wonderful and their warm and generous hospitality simply incredible. At lunch I sat next to Pauline Parry, of Good Gracious!, a fellow WIPA Board member and one of the most incredible caterers I know, and she absolutely raved about the food. I’m so happy to be more familiar with this wonderful property and its staff.
